Fitness

When you think of the word fitness, what comes to mind? 
Maybe things like....
Not Me
Are you kidding me?
That was something I worried about when I was younger?
I'll never be fit!
Why am I reading this?

Fitness is NOT all about being the skinny chick/muscle man you see running in the park or at the gym.  Yes, some get the beautiful benefits of being skinny and muscular.  At the same time, some people who are fit are not necessarily the skinny models. 

Here is my point....
I don't consider myself a fitness expert by any stretch of the imagination.  I'm just someone who has been in a place of being VERY obese, very down on myself, miserable, not able to take part in activities, and not being able to get into rides because of it. I have NOT attained my ultimate goal BUT everyday that I make smart food choices, drink my water and eat the right foods, I'm headed in that direction!!!!!!!  I'm always excited when I get to go for a run and I'm able to run farther before my walk break (yes, I do talk walk breaks), able to run up a killer hill, and my breathing is controlled.  Those may seem like small things but I have been in a place where the thought of running "for fun" was completely foreign and crazy.  Today, I am more fit than before and continuing on my journey.

Also, trying my hand at writing a "Fitness Plan" for an awesome friend, Tara, and see how it goes.  SUPER EXCITED!!!!!!!  She may kill me but we will have fun in the process!!!!!!
