Yesterday at home, I was chatting with a VERY close friend. During the conversation I was trying to ask advice about what to buy someone for Christmas. It's one of those touchy subjects when it comes to Christmas.
For Instance-
Husbands- Do not buy your wife a scale
Do not buy your wife an iron and ironing board
Do not buy your wife a vacuum cleaner
Wives- Do not buy your husband a bathroom cleaning supply basket
Do not buy your husband a treadmill
Do not buy your husband a broom
You get the picture. Of course now, if your spouse wants these things and they are on their list...by all means go for it! (PSSST-HONEY.....These things are not on my list!) I had made a purchase for my friend for Christmas and I was discussing it because it has to do with weight loss/exercise/ and Healthy LifeStyle. The last thing I wanted to do was to make someone upset and offend them. That is so NOT what my goal is or was.
During our discussion they were talking about they themselves wanting to loose weight and what to do and that type of conversation. I just put it out there very bluntly.
No one can do it for you
You have to want it
Your spouse can't want it for you
You have to have that Ah-ha Moment
Go back and read Darla's post a couple of days ago. She had her Ah-ha moment and look where she is now and what she is doing!!!! Amazing!!!!! Look at Tara. She had a goal in mind and she has blown it away!!!! Both of these women made up their mind, got their support together and WORLD....WATCH OUT!!!!!
I know I have had MANY Ah-ha moments and just because you reach a "goal" that you have set for yourself doesn't mean that you are "Done". There is always one more thing you want to do.
Maybe you want to do a 10K and not a 5K.
Maybe you want to do a MudRun.
Maybe you want to do a Half Marathon.
Maybe you want to try a Mini-Triathlon.
Maybe you want to go for the gusto and do a Full Marathon.
The point is that there is always something to aim for. Well, after our conversation they point blank said they had their Ah-ha moment and it was time. It was time to start doing something. The cool part.......I get to help and encourage!!!!! I'm so excited I could bust a gut!!!!! They asked me to write up some recipes that will freeze and can travel. That had my brain going all day yesterday. I am so excited! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!! The best part of all.......This person is my Brother!!!!!!! The other best part......"Jillian" gets to get him!!!!! Tara......better warn him.......hahahaha
I'll keep you posted on how it's going!!!!!! What will it take for your Ah-ha moment? PLEASE don't let it be something major like Diabetes, Hypertension, Stroke, Heart Attack.......get it done NOW!!!!!!
Game On,
Pam
