New Year Is Coming!

Yes, the New Year 2013 is rapidly approaching.  If I have heard or seen one "resolution", I have seen 100.  I was one to make resolutions before but that is NOT the case any longer.  We have all done it. 

I'm going to lose weight! (until March hits and I haven't lost 50 pounds yet)
I'm going vegetarian! (Until I see a cheeseburger on the grill)
I'm not eating sugar!(Until I smell a fresh cake in the oven)
I'm not eating carbs!(Until I see a loaded baked potato at a restaurant)
I'm not eating fried foods!(Until I smell the french fries in the McDonald's drive thru)
I'm going to work out 7 days a week!(Until I can't move on day 7)
I'm running a marathon this year!(Until I realize they aren't kidding about 26.2 miles)
I'm........you fill in the blank.

Well, this year is different.  You see, I started a "Group" on Facebook of a bunch of girl friends that all have the same goal.  Our goal is this......It's a LIFESTYLE.......NOT a DIET!!!!!  We do NOT diet.  We do NOT deprive ourselves. We encourage one another.  We keep each other accountable.  We invite each other to events, runs, places to go.  We share ideas. We share food ideas. We are enjoying living healthy lifestyles. 
We have not set unrealistic goals.  We have set the goal of living healthy.  Many of us are "done" with our goals.  Some are just starting. Some are in the midst of a plateau and it's time to ramp it up. That is the beauty.  We are all in different places doing different things.  Many of us use the My Fitness Pal App.  It is awesome!!!!  Best part....ITS FREE!!!!!!!!
So this year, instead of setting yourself up for failure.......set your self up for living a healthy LIFESTYLE!!!  It makes the BIGGEST difference!!!!!!
