But I love my specialty coffee’s
Do you love speciality coffee's and drinks as much as I do? There is nothing better than a Chai Latte or a Caramel Machiatto or even some type of Frapaccino. At the same time, we want to stay on track and keep going with our fitness and our healthy goals.
I was reading the new Runners' World Magazine-November 2017 and there was a quick little article about Coffee Addiction. They offered a couple of tips that I thought I would share with you.
1- Try a REALLY good coffee with a splash of milk.
2- Save the sweet treats for 2 times a month and not daily or even weekly.
3- Order the SMALLEST size of the drink that you can. Savor and enjoy the drink.
4- Ask for ONE PUMP of syrup instead of the typical 3 or 4 pumps of syrup.
Great ideas I had never considered!!!!!

WAKE UP!!!!
Well, we are heading into a new month and the end of 2017 is going to be here before we know it! Can you believe we are almost there? I am still not sure where the year went but it is almost gone. So, in the past few weeks I have been in a place of question, frustration, and wondering what needs to change and what do I need to do different. I have listened to a lot of sermons and I have spoken with some people that have encouraged me. I have listened to some personal development and realized so much about myself.
All of that being said.....WHAT IN THE WORLD DOES IT MEAN????
Here is the truth and the decisions that I have made to combat the truth.
1- Being a Health and Fitness Coach is easy and everyone jumps in and you just encourage them and it’s easy- FALSE.
The Truth- It’s what I am passion about and what I pour myself into. I am with these women 110% and encourage them when I am struggling right along with them. I love my CHALLENGERS and I want SUCCESS for them with everything in me!!!!!! It’s a lot of hard work BUT when it’s your passion, it’s worth it.
2- All Coach’s are a TOTAL SUCCESS STORY and have HUGE TRANSFORMATIONS with EVERY PROGRAM that they COMPLETE- FALSE!
The Truth- I don’t consider myself as a “success” according to the world. I consider myself a success when my Challengers are celebrating their NSV’s (non-scale victories), their measurments shrinking and their weigh changing. I have had a huge transformation and as a Coach, it is easy to go through the motions and not be in 110%. It’s easy to measure your container and go through the motions of the workout and not be 110% in. I haven’t had a BIG TRANSFORMATION in a while. I know why!
3- All Coach’s are just out to sell a program and a shake because that is what they are suppose to do in order to gain rank, recognition, and money. FALSE!!!!!
THE TRUTH- I am not out to SELL you anything. I am here to encourage you. I’m here to ask you what are your goals. I’m here to see you reach your goals. I’m here to stand by you and push you when you want to quit. I’m here to answer your questions. I’m here for you you! I BELIEVE that what Beachbody offers with the programs, streaming workouts, and Shakeology is absolutely incredible and are the best that there is!!!!! HERE IS THE DIFFERENCE......It has to be YOUR TIME! You have to be ready to make the change. You have to be ready to set the GOAL and GO FOR IT! When you are.......I’m Here!!!!!

Fun Halloween Projects
Dipped Candles
Shave orange crayons into melted candle wax, stir, then dip white candles into mixture to coat. Let dry.
Black Plants
Apply black spray paint LIVERALLY to a faux plant. Top it off with black sand from your local craft store.
Skull Lanterns
Cut cute faces out of black paper and Mod Podge them onto a string of white lights with paper lanterns. I also thought you could use a sharpie marker for the drawing as well.
Ghost Leaves
Paint real or fake leaves with two coats of white acrylic paint. Let dry and draw on faces with black permanent marker.

Lasagna Soup!!!!
Time- 30 minutes
Serves 4
8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken into pieces (about 10 noodles)
1 Tbsp. EVOO plus more for drizzling
1 onion, chopped
1/2 pound hot or sweet Italian sausage, casings removed
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tsp.. dried oregano
2 Tbsp. tomato paste
4 cups low sodium chicken broth
1 15-ounce can crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil, plus thinly sliced leaves for topping
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus more for sprinkling, optional)
1/4 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
Ricotta cheese, for topping.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook as the label directs. Drain; drizzle with olive oil and toss
-Meanwhile, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large Dutch oven or heavy bottomed pot over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring until softened, about 4 minutes. Add the sausage, garlic, and oregano and cook, stirring and breaking up the sausage with a wooden spoon until the sausage is browned, about 3 minutes. Add the tomato paste and cook, stirring until darkened, about 2 minutes.
- Add the chicken broth, tomatoes, and 1 cup water; cover and bring to a simmer. Uncover and cook until slightly reduced, about 10 minutes. Stir in the noodles, basil, Parmesan, and cream; simmer 2 more minutes.
- Divide the soup among bowls. Top with ricotta and sliced basil.

Meal Prep Afternoon
Meal Prep Sunday
It has become a MUST in our house. It MUST happen if we plan on making it through the week without making compromises in the drive thru or with delivery.
Therefore we MEAL PREP!!!!!
So what is on the menu??? I am venturing out and trying some new things but hear me out.....THEY ARE EASY!!! I do not add a something complicated to Meal Prep day. It must have been tried before or so simple that you CAN NOT mess it up!!!!!
Here is the list for today.......
Egg Cups (made yesterday)
Boiled Eggs for snacks
Deviled Eggs for the hubby. (Eggs are already cooked)
2 prepackaged salads from Sams ( I LOVE THEM)
Roasted root veggies (sweet potatoes and parsnips and carrots)
Quinoa
Pasta
Turkey Burgers on the grill
Chinese Shrimp/Roasted Tofu/Chinese Veggie Stirfry
Chicken Sausage (basil, garlic and spices) Grilled
Rice
Roasted pork tenderloin
Basic Grilled Chicken
Black Bean Soup-Made this yesterday-5 MINUTES!!!!
DO NOT let it overwhelm you!!!! It sounds like a lot but if Hubby does the grilling, the rest is REALLY QUICK!!!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!
