4 Week Check In



I am hard at it!  It is incredible.  I just started week 4!  I sweat a lot anyway but with this program has the sweat just pouring.  I never had a clue that I could actually sweat that much in 22 minutes!  It is just amazing and I am just blown away.
The idea that I am working out with Veterans EVERY day is so inspiring and so motivational.  The fact that they work this hard and what sacrifices that they have made for our country can be overwhelming at times.

I have a Free Clean Eating Challenge going on right now.  I am amazed at the commitment of the women in this group.  Some have their families doing it with them and some have their husbands jumping on board.  I am so inspired by them.  We did meal prep yesterday and they were cooking and posting and having conversations.  It's an exciting place to be!!!!!

My Fitness Challenge Group......Let's just say these ladies are KILLING IT!!!!!
*They are wearing pants that they haven't been able to get into.
*They are losing inches
*They are losing pounds
*They are drinking more water than they ever thought they could.
*They are committed
*They are just AWESOME!!!!!!
I am so proud of all of them.  We even have 2 new ones that have just jumped in and they are hitting the ground running!!!!!

Weather Is Cooperating!!!!

The weather is finally cooperating!  I had gone for my first run and it was just AWESOME!
It was gorgeous!
Sun was out!
Very slight breeze!
It was just incredible!
THEN.....
2 Days later
Rain
COLD
Wind
Even SNOW one morning!!  It was CRAZY!!!!


It was almost 10 days before I could ever get back on the road because of the weather.
Yesterday.....Sun is out! It was incredible!  There was a strong breeze but I did not care.  I was going to run no matter what.
It was almost like I HAD to because it was just that pretty outside.
I got to my favorite parking place......
OH NO!!!!!
No hat!
No new playlist like I had planned!
No sunglasses!
I could have sat there and been upset and drove off.
NOPE....NOT A CHANCE!!!!
I ran and ran and ran!!!  It was incredible!!!!!
I wasn't fast.
I was even talking a walk break BUT I WAS OUT AND DOING WHAT I HAVE MISSED FOR 2 YEARS!!!

Yesterday was just a confirmation that I was suppose to be out there.  The weather is going to be great the next few days.  I'm excited to see what and where and how He shows up on these runs!!!!

10 Things about First 10 Days


22 Minute Hard Corps.  Well, the title should be enough to wake you up and make you smell the coffee.
We are talking...
Tony Horton
Sweat
Actual Veterans
Sweat
Sandbags
Sweat
Weights
Sweat
Pull Ups
Sweat
Push Ups
Sweat- Did I mention SWEAT

First 10 Days in.....Bear Crawls- Gorilla Crawls- Frog Burpees-OH My!!!!!  I have done a lot of Tony Horton Programs and even started with his infamous P90X!!!!  I've NEVER experienced anything like this.  It's only 22 minutes.  22 second breaks. And believe it or not.....you might even get done a little early and you get a BURN OUT ROUND!!!  Say WHAT!!????  Spring-Burpee-Push-Up on his call out!  Oh my goodness----TOTALLY CRAZINESS!!!!!

I LOVE that there are veterans in the workouts.  I LOVE our military!  I love them for what they do. I love them for their sacrifice.  I love that they took the time to help even you and me to experience even just a small glimpse into what type of training that they do.  I'm so grateful for each and everyone and for every branch of the Military that they represent!!!!
Looking at approximately 50 more days.

First Time Out!



I have chosen the race.  It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL the other day.  I didn't have a lot of time but I had what I needed!
Shoes
Dry-Wic Shirt
Shorts
Music
Hat
I headed out and was so pumped I couldn't get the pace right. I was to fast and then I was feeling like I was moving like a snail. It was a few moments of frustration and trying to figure it out!  I was really struggling. So I just kind of took a moment and prayed.  "Help me find the rhythm ".
I just kept moving forward and about 5 strides ahead of me this woman is running. She smiles and is coming from a side road.  I took a walk break and fell in behind her.  She was about 20 years older than me and just inspired and motivated me.  She had a pace.  I could follow hers.  Not to fast. Not to slow. PERFECT!!!  I was absolutely BEAMING!!!!!  It was time for me to split off and head back to my car.  I took a few extra steps and with a HUGE grin on my face I told her "Thank you so much for helping me find my pace today". She told me I must be wanting to run slow and smiled.  I said "No, just trying to return after being gone for a almost 2 years."  I thanked her again and ran to my car.
It just amazes me how He shows up!  Ask and there He is!!!
This return to running is going to be AWESOME!!!!!
