Self Care.......REALLY?????
So I was having this discussion the other day with a friend. She had sent me a message and asked me about a Beachbody product and I had sent her a message back. It was something that we had discussed before. She proceeded to send me a message back and I was so excited for her.
She sent me a message to let me know that she had made some decisions in her life.
1- She has discovered a yoga class that is making a world of difference for her and she is going regularly and consistently.
2- She had decided that is was time to take care of herself.
3- She was doing all of these things because SHE WANTED TO and not because someone else told her or someone else said she had to.
I was so EXCITED FOR HER!!!!!!
SHE GET'S IT!!!!!!
Ladies, and Gentleman, you can not take the adventure into gaining the healthy life that we all want if you are doing it for your spouse, your parents, your friends or anyone else. YOU HAVE TO DO IT FOR YOU! You have to want it bad enough that you are willing to put it in your schedule and want it!!!
I can invite you.
I can encourage you.
I can be your cheerleader.
I can NOT do it for you.
I can NOT make you do it.
I am here when you are ready!!!!!!!

You Must Eat!!!!!!!
YOU MUST EAT!
You can loose weight if you don't eat!
Yes, you can. That is not a false statement.
You can loose weight if you don't eat!
Yes, you can.
Question is what happens when you eat again?
What happens when you stop losing weight?
What happens when you are so tired and fatigued that you are miserable?
Typically binge eating will happen. Does it happen always? No, not necessarily but I have been there and done that. You can "not eat" for only so long until your body is going to retaliate. It does not like being starved. Now, you can cut calories and drink more water and control your portion sizes and do it correctly. The key is to do it right so that it will last!!!!! If you do a "CRASH" diet......well.....that is what you are going to do. CRASH!!!!
You need to eat and fuel your body! I use those awesome little portion containers. They are incredible! Most people FREAK OUT when they see them because the first text message or phone call is...."THEY ARE SO LITTLE!" or "ARE YOU SERIOUS?". The key is that when you do the calculations. You know how many of each you get everyday. You are eating clean. You are counting your containers. Your body is being fueled. You are getting exercise. You are drinking your water. YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE WEIGHT the RIGHT WAY!
The key to remember.......
You did not gain your 5-10-25-40 pounds over night.
You are NOT going to lose it overnight.
It takes hard work and accountability.
SO PLEASE............
EAT!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanksgiving Menu!!!
Kennedy Thanksgiving Menu
Turkey Breast (soaked in Buttermillk and roasted with herbs and veggies in a bag)
Dressing (Family Recipe)
Mashed Potatoes (white)
Roasted Sweet Potatoes (Fixate Recipe)
Fruit Salad (apples, bananas and vanilla yogurt)
Cranberry Jalapeno Relish (New Recipe)
Gravy
Corn
Kings Hawiian Rolls
Pumpkin Pie (homemade, not from a can)
I'm already stuffed and I haven't even started cooking yet!!!!! I love the holidays and the cooking. There is just never enough time to enjoy it. I'm planning on prepping the next couple of days so I am not in the kitchen the whole day. I want time to relax, enjoy and read.

Cranberry Relish-RAW
Cranberry Relish with Orange and Ginger
10 minute Prep and Serves 8
Ingredients
1 Large navel or other orange
4 cups fresh cranberries (about 1 lb.), rinsed, or frozen cranberries, thawed
1/2 cup sugar, or more to taste
1 Tbsp. minced fresh ginger, or to taste
Steps
Use a vegetable peeler or paring knife to remove the entire zest of orange; set aside.
Cut away and discard thick white pitch. Cut orange segments away from their membranes.
Combine orange flesh, zest, cranberries, and sugar in a food processor. Process until chunchy.
Stir in ginger.
Taste and add more sugar if desired.
Let sit for at least 30 minutes before serving for best flavors.
Options
Stir in 1/2 cup raisins or pomegranate seeds for added fiber, and chopped walnuts or pecans for some healthy fat.

It’s About TIME!
TIME!!!
We all have 24 hours!
We all have 1440 minutes!
We all have 86,400 seconds!
We all have the same amount of time every single day. We also all have a decision as to what we do with our 86,400 seconds in our day. Yes, there are days when we feel like we are completely out of control and it appears that we can’t seem to get ANYTHING done and our day is over and we sit on the side of the bed and wonder to ourselves....where in the world did the day go? I totally get it.
I can remember when the program T25 came out and ShaunT was on the TV saying “TIME”. I can still hear him. We have grown so accustomed to working out 10 minutes or 22 minutes with Tony Horton and 30 minutes with a whole list of other absolutely incredible trainers. We love having it “DONE” in 30 minutes and move on to our day.
When a program comes out and states that there maybe a week of workouts that are over our new “SET LIMIT”-we make a grand decision .
“I don’t have time for that.”
It could be that it is an occasional 40-50 minute workout. It could be a week of Gut-Busting 45-50 minute workout. We make a decision! We make a choice!
“I can’t”,
“I’ll just repeat a shorter workout in it’s place.”,
“I’ll so something different that day.”
OR WORSE
“I WILL JUST SKIP IT!”
So what is the point of all of this? Why are we chasing this rabbit? Well, there is a new program coming out and I have been participating in the LIVE Sneak Peek this past week on BOD (Beachbody On Demand). I am in a Facebook Group of 22,000+ people, men and women and Autumn made mention the other day that the workouts of the new program are an hour. People were FREAKING OUT!!!! These are my thoughts on watching and reading the newsfeed.
1. Working out is a choice that you make on a daily basis. It is your choice whether you want to do this or not.
2.This program is 80 DAYS! Yes, it’s longer than 3 days, 21 days, 30 days, 60 days and it’s a commitment.
3. Are you willing to commit? Are you willing to change your plans? That is hard and difficult. I can not deny that!
4. MOST IMPORTANT- How bad you want it? We watch and see these incredible results from a test group. We want that for ourselves! We share them. We encourage others to come and join us and then we have a FREAK OUT MOMENT!
So the question remains.......Just How Bad Do You Want It?
I can answer this for me. I am not answering for ANYONE ELSE! I have not spoken to anyone else about what my decision is. I did state on my Team Call the othe night that I would be doing the program. It’s also only November and this program in its entirety does not officially come out until January 15th. There is a lot that I do not know about the program yet and there is a lot to learn.
THIS IS MY PLAN-
(I will keep you updated as we go forward and get ready.)
1-Read and watch other videos, blogs and posts that other Coaches who were in the Test Group have shared.
2- Take part in any thing that is shared on BOD (Beachbody On Demand)
3- Work on my nutrition even more using my container and really thinking about what I am eating and portions.
4-Continue in the Facebook Group and read, learn, share, encourage all of the men and women in that group.
5-Share and discuss how this will effect our schedule at our house. Time for Meal Prep (we have that covered) and time for the workouts which may mean I have to get up 30 minutes earlier to get it done or it may mean that I am working out after work. Making sure Hubby is on board and maybe even doing it with me.
The bottom line—I WANT THIS AND I WANT IT BAD!!!!

Week One of “A Little Obsessed”
Well, I made it through the week of “A Little Obsessed” with Autumn and her awesome crew. I am sorry to say that I missed Friday but I will not bore you or use excuses. We had company coming to town and getting ready for a trip to NYC and this body was DONE! I considered getting up this morning to hit the ground running and knock out the workout but that was not happening. I hate that I missed it but GUESS WHAT??????
THEY ARE DOING IT AGAIN NEXT WEEK!!!!
There were some technical difficulties with BOD (Beachbody On Demand) and so because of that they are sharing it again next week. I am absolutely thrilled!!!!! I have my Sliders (a.k.a paper plates) that I will be using and my loops are on the way that I ordered from Beachbody last week.
It was a week of new exercises and new muscles that I had forgotten that I had. I was sore in places that I didn’t know you could get sore in. I felt so energized and uplifted. It was just different. The other thing that was a change was the fact that there was no music during the workouts. I am a music person and I can’t even run without music in my head but I had NONE-ZERO-NADA last week during the workouts because I was so focused on listening to what Autumn was sharing and saying that I didn’t realize it until Thursday. I am discovering more and more about myself with every program!

A Little Obsessed- Day 1
Well, let’s just say........”Oh Heavens!” I was nervously excited about this crazy new program that is going to be available in January. You remember Autumn Calabrese from 21 Day Fix? It’s her!!!! They opted to share 5 days of Sneak Peak filmed live. I have been a huge group of people that are preparing for this program and getting a lot of information and preparations for this program. It’s just amazing!
Today was Day 1.
My Take-Aways
1- Time to tighten up my nutrition even more because I WANT THIS!
2- Get some of the stretchy bands and sliders.
3- Get Ready! This is VERY different!
4- I will be sore tomorrow!
5-BRING ON DAY 2!
