4 Week Check In

I am hard at it!  It is incredible.  I just started week 4!  I sweat a lot anyway but with this program has the sweat just pouring.  I never had a clue that I could actually sweat that much in 22 minutes!  It is just amazing and I am just blown away.
The idea that I am working out with Veterans EVERY day is so inspiring and so motivational.  The fact that they work this hard and what sacrifices that they have made for our country can be overwhelming at times.

I have a Free Clean Eating Challenge going on right now.  I am amazed at the commitment of the women in this group.  Some have their families doing it with them and some have their husbands jumping on board.  I am so inspired by them.  We did meal prep yesterday and they were cooking and posting and having conversations.  It's an exciting place to be!!!!!

My Fitness Challenge Group......Let's just say these ladies are KILLING IT!!!!!
*They are wearing pants that they haven't been able to get into.
*They are losing inches
*They are losing pounds
*They are drinking more water than they ever thought they could.
*They are committed
*They are just AWESOME!!!!!!
I am so proud of all of them.  We even have 2 new ones that have just jumped in and they are hitting the ground running!!!!!

I just wanted to check in with you and let you know how 22 Minute Hard Corps is going and how the other accountability groups are doing.  I would love to have you join one!!!!  Send me a message on Facebook or you can leave a comment here!!!!

Weather Is Cooperating!!!!

The weather is finally cooperating!  I had gone for my first run and it was just AWESOME!
It was gorgeous!
Sun was out!
Very slight breeze!
It was just incredible!
THEN.....
2 Days later
Rain
COLD
Wind
Even SNOW one morning!!  It was CRAZY!!!!

It was almost 10 days before I could ever get back on the road because of the weather.
Yesterday.....Sun is out! It was incredible!  There was a strong breeze but I did not care.  I was going to run no matter what.
It was almost like I HAD to because it was just that pretty outside.
I got to my favorite parking place......
OH NO!!!!!
No hat!
No new playlist like I had planned!
No sunglasses!
I could have sat there and been upset and drove off.
NOPE....NOT A CHANCE!!!!
I ran and ran and ran!!!  It was incredible!!!!!
I wasn't fast.
I was even talking a walk break BUT I WAS OUT AND DOING WHAT I HAVE MISSED FOR 2 YEARS!!!

Yesterday was just a confirmation that I was suppose to be out there.  The weather is going to be great the next few days.  I'm excited to see what and where and how He shows up on these runs!!!!

Stay Tuned!!!!  Don't miss out!  If you are running to, please feel free to sign up on the sidebar and get an email when there is a new post!!!!!

First Time Out!

I have chosen the race.  It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL the other day.  I didn't have a lot of time but I had what I needed!
Shoes
Dry-Wic Shirt
Shorts
Music
Hat
I headed out and was so pumped I couldn't get the pace right. I was to fast and then I was feeling like I was moving like a snail. It was a few moments of frustration and trying to figure it out!  I was really struggling. So I just kind of took a moment and prayed.  "Help me find the rhythm ".
I just kept moving forward and about 5 strides ahead of me this woman is running. She smiles and is coming from a side road.  I took a walk break and fell in behind her.  She was about 20 years older than me and just inspired and motivated me.  She had a pace.  I could follow hers.  Not to fast. Not to slow. PERFECT!!!  I was absolutely BEAMING!!!!!  It was time for me to split off and head back to my car.  I took a few extra steps and with a HUGE grin on my face I told her "Thank you so much for helping me find my pace today". She told me I must be wanting to run slow and smiled.  I said "No, just trying to return after being gone for a almost 2 years."  I thanked her again and ran to my car.
It just amazes me how He shows up!  Ask and there He is!!!
This return to running is going to be AWESOME!!!!!

Post H&C

SOOOOOO- I finished Hammer and Chisel.  I have to be honest.....it took me a while to process exactly what all I learned, what I can do now that I couldn't do before, what I would do different when I tackle it for Round 2.  So let's do this....
First-
What did I learn?

  • I had no upper arm strength.(I'm talking 5 pounds)
  • Autumn and Sagi are AWESOME  Trainers! (21 Day Fix Trainer and Body Beast Trainer)
  • I had no endurance when there was a weight in my hand
  • I like to preview before actually doing the DVD/BOD that morning
What can I do now that I couldn't before?
  • I started out with 5 pound weights and ended with 15 pound weights
  • I can do more push ups
  • I can do more arm work than I EVER thought possible
  • I have balance
  • I have agility
  • I can do whatever I set my mind to.
  • I have one body and it's up to me to take care of it
  • I experienced Power Lifting Moves that I had never done and LOVED IT!
  • I can wear a tank-top.
What will I do different next time?
  • I would either get a bench or borrow one.
  • I would be brave an PUSH harder
  • I would also INVITE A LOT more people to join me because WOMEN CAN LIFT!!!!

This is a game-changer! If you want to increase your strength, lean up and get in the best shape of your life!!!!!  It was absolutely AWESOME!!!!  I'm looking forward to the next place I have 60 days to jump on and do it again!!!!!!!

The Race

I FOUND IT!!!!!
I shared in a post or two ago that I was going to be hitting the road.  The weather has not been very cooperative as of yet but that is OK.  The weather appears to be moving in the right direction.  I'm super excited about it.
I was thinking about what and where and when I would want to race again.  Of course 5K's are in the mix provided they work into timing with soccer at present.
THEN THE E-MAIL CAME!!!
Typically I get e-mails about races, 5K's, 10K's, Half Marathons and Full Marathon's.  I'm even on the list for the virtual ones.  While I enjoy the virtual races, I miss all of the excitement and the adrenaline rush with a full blown race!!!  There is something about that!  It's just amazing!!!!
Anyway, about the e-mail.  I got an email that they are having the 20th Anniversary Dasani Half Marathon in Myrtle Beach in 2017!
You see there are many reasons why I would want to run this race.  It was my first Half Marathon that I had ever run.  It has so many other reasons behind it that I won't get into it on this post but let's just say......I WANT to be there!!!!  While in my head I would love to do the Full Marathon for a whole different list, I am not in the place to do it this year unless something major happens when I hit the road.  For now.....it's all about the Half Marathon.  In the words of my oldest......"Myrtle Beach...I'm coming for you!!!!"

Word Wednesday

They are inside your head
You got a voice that says
You won't get past this one
You won't win your freedom

It's like a constant war
And you wanna settle a score
But you're bruised and beaten
And you feel defeated

This goes out to the heaviest hearts

(Chorus)
Oh, to everyone who's hit their limit
It's not over yet, it's not over yet
And even when you think you're finished
It's not over yet, it's not over yet
Keep on fighting
Out of the dark, into the light, it's not over
Hope is rising
Never give in, never give up, it's not over
Yet, whoa, yet, whoa

Game, set, match
Time to put it in your past
Feel the winter leaving
It's redemption season
Long live the young at heart
Cheers to a brand new start
We're revived and breathing
To live a life of freedom

Until the kingdom comes
We'll run till the race is won
Don't you ever give up
No, no never give up
Until the kingdom comes
We'll run till the race is won
Don't you ever give up
We will never give up
